Carlsbad High's Eli MacNeal's 4 touchdown passes paces Lancers to win
By David A. Willauer-Contributing Writer-Jack Ashby Field at Grizzly Stadium-Mission Hills High School-San Marcos, CA-Friday, October 11, 2025. In a battle of 2 undefeated ranked San Diego High School ranked football teams that was held at Mission Hills, the Lancers trailed 17-14, QB Eli MacNeal son of head football coach Thadd McNeil threw his first game winning touchdown pass to teammate Rocky Cummings for 16 yards for Carlsbad's first lead at 21-17. Beckham Phillipi followed with a 38 yard field goal which put the Lancers up by 7 at 24-17, Eli MacNeil threw his second touchdown pass of the game to Rocky Cummings for 17 yards which made the final score 31-17
