Calvin Christian High School 44 River Springs Charter School 42 CCHS:  Jay Paek 18 yard touchdown.  Tyler Hoff 46 yard run.  

Coastal Academy 33 LaJolla Country Day School 28 CA:  

Oceanside 22 El Camino 0 Oside:  SJ Poumele 33 and 21 yard runs.Robert Parada 3 yard run.  

RBV 13 Vista 12:  RBV.  Van Piercy 60 yards passing with 1 touchdown.  Kaipo Gutierez 47 yards rushing and 1 touchdown, rec 4 receptions for 35 yards.    Isaiah Simmons 2 receptions for 24 yards 1 touchdown 

Rancho Bernardo 32 Poway 21 RB:  Gaige Weddle 245 yards passing with 2 touchdown passes and rushed the ball for 54 yards and 1 td.  Max Marshall led with 73 yards. Christian Gonzales 172 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.  Brody Cella 37 yards receiving 1 touchdown. 

San Pasqual 35 Escondido  SP:  Robert Renteria 280 yards passing and 3 touchdowns, rushed for 26 yards and 1 touchdown.  Landon Lockwood 1 touchdown run.  Jordan Simmons 107 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.  Jared Brecht 69 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns.Cooper Marquez leading rusher 70 yards rushing. 

LaCosta Canyon 31 Torrey Pines 20 LCC:  Coby Herman 2 touchdown runs of 2 and 91 yards.  Quinn Roth qb to Blake Larsen.  Will Stringfellow 31 yard field goal.  

Mission Hills 28 San Marcos 21 MH:  Penn State bound Troy Huhn runs for a 1 yard touchdown.  TJ Baker with the PAT.  Mission Hills wins the 2025 Discovery Bowl Trophy. 

Valley Center 29 Ramona 27 VC:  Braylon Mitchell 269 yards passing with 1 touchdown pass.  J Ryan Tirado 119 yards rushing and 3 touchdowns. Gauge Wright 93 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.  Jesse Morales 90 yards receiving.

Palomar losing streak reaches 6 in a row as Saddleback wins 31-10

By David A. Willauer-Conttributing Writer-10-26-25-The Palomar Comets lost their  game in a row as they were defeated by the Saddleback Bobcats at 7-1 by a 31-10 score. 

Carson Beard for the Comets kicked a 30 yard field goal while teammate Giovanni Hart Mission Hills alum scored on a 1 yard run.  Jakob Harris passed for 82 yards and rushed for 42 yards.  Micah Johnson registered 144 yards receiving. 

With the loss the Comets fall to 1-7 will take on Chaffey Junior College on the road.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 23 New Orleans 3 NO:  Mission Hills alum Chris Olave 63 yards receiving.  Rasheed Shahid 75 yards receiving. San Marcos alum Terrell Burgess 2 tackles.

 Troy Huhn's 4 touchdown passes 1 touchdown run pace Mission Hills to win

Willauer-Contributing Writer-10-24-25-Jack Ashby Field at Grizzly Stadium-In a battle of outstanding quarterbacks for Rancho Bernardo in Gage Weddle, the son of former NFL and current Broncos head coach Eric Weddle recorded 142 yards passing wasn't enough as in for Mission Hills Troy Huhn threw for 136 yards with 4 touchdowns, and contributed on a 72 yard touchdown run defeated the Broncos of Rancho Bernardo by a 56-0 score. 

DJ Zapata Interim Head Football Coach at Mission Hills:  "It was a fun special night for the kids which is a very special one you hope you get games like this to play on the field for the experience and that's what we did tonight which was exciting." "When we keyed in on Gage Weddle our outside corners did well by containing him he is an outstanding football player ."  "Patrick Fleming is a senior captain for us he is on both sides of the ball is a warrior for our squad." It's another game week for us vs. San Marcos were going to get ready in practice before next Friday."

Other Mission Hills performers:  Patrick Fleming 32 yards rushing 2 touchdowns.  Rhodes Relatores 70 yards rushing and 1 touchdown.  Myzael Quakenbush 1 touchdown reception of 4 yards.  Josh Gonzales 45 yards receiving 2 touchdowns.  Ryan McKenzie 48 yards receiving and 1 touchdown.  

Mission Hills improves to 8-1 will travel to rival San Marcos for the Discovery Bowl Trophy next Friday, October 31, 2025

Carlsbad defeats previously undefeated Mission Hills 31-17

 Carlsbad High's Eli MacNeal's 4 touchdown passes paces Lancers to win

Willauer-Contributing Writer-Jack Ashby Field at Grizzly Stadium-Mission Hills High School-San Marcos, CA-Friday, October 11, 2025.  In a battle of 2 undefeated ranked San Diego High School ranked football teams that was held at Mission Hills, the Lancers trailed 17-14, QB Eli MacNeal son of head football coach Thadd McNeil threw his first game winning touchdown pass to teammate Rocky Cummings for 16 yards for Carlsbad's first lead at 21-17.   Beckham Phillipi followed with a 38 yard field goal which put the Lancers up by 7 at 24-17, Eli MacNeil threw his second touchdown pass of the game to Rocky Cummings for 17 yards which made the final score 31-17

Eli McNeil QB and son of head football coach Thadd McNeil:  It's a pretty critical moment in the game when I threw the ball, Rocky had a good look for the catch and scored the touchdown."  "For the 17 yard pass to Rocky Cummings for our first lead at 21-17 that play we used was a play action boot have been running it for our drive he was open for the win."
